Nano Payments

Immutability

Organization
The Cambridge Phoenix Challenge 2024 is a virtual hackathon over a 2 month time-span.

During that time, all interaction between organizers and teams will be directed to https://discord.gg/bsv (the official BSV SV slack).

Decision Making
Judges determine the winners on an equal vote basis, if two projects get the same number of votes, all judges vote between those projects that have a tie.

The judges determine the winner based on impact, quality and novelty.
Teams
There are no limits in team size, and both individuals as well as companies can participate in the Phoenix Challenge. All team members that participated in developing their solution need to be named in the submission.

Teams are allowed to make multiple submissions, and team members are allowed to have multiple teams.
Reward Distribution

The awards are distributed to the Team Leaders of the winning projects (in BSV). The team leaders will be asked to submit a BSV SV address after being informed of their placements and will receive their payments within 10 days of the conclusion of the tournament.
(22th of May).

Team leaders have to submit KYC information to a qualified licensed platform (e.g. Jumio or similar) before receiving the awards to comply with UK regulations. The Metanet Society will not store or distribute personal KYC information.

If winners do not claim their rewards within 30 days of the announcement, rewards are redistributed equally to the remaining winners.

Qualifying Conditions

All project work needs to be based or interact with the BSV blockchain (more info at BSV Blockchain)

The submitted project work needs to have been started after the 22nd of May, 2024. The work can be an added feature or implementation on top of an existing project. Submitted work needs to be original. Existing (open source, template or earlier written) code utilized needs to be declared.

The submission process is exclusively managed via the phoenix-challenge.com website, but organizers can be asked to confirm completed submissions. All intellectual property created by the teams are owned by respective teams. Source code can remain secret to not hinder further expansion of the idea into a commercial entity.

The 2022 Phoenix Challenge is a great opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in the industry and compete for $25,000 in prize rewards.The BSV community will be our 5th judge and a poll will be held in the BSV discord on the 23th of July, 2022.
